A Note About Our New Associate Pastor John Hostettler
John is an Ordained graduate of Berean Bible School, Springfield, Mo. Along with pastoral training both John and Lois have many life experiences that turns theology into daily practice. John has ministered as lead pastor in Churches of Iowa and South Dakota for over 40 years written daily devotionals and radio programs. At times, John has also ministered on the leadership staff at Teen Challenge in Colfax, Iowa, helping people overcome life-controlling problems, and as Chaplin at St. Marys hospital in Pierre SD.
John and his wife Lois, have 2 Children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren! They are year round residents of Happy Trails, and are here to help you discover a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ and to develop a love for the Word of God.

HTCF announces its newest Associate Pastoral Staff member… John Hostettler (and wife Lois)
We are grateful and excited to share that the HTCF Board has unanimously approved the Search Committee’s recommendation to call John Hostettler as our next Associate Pastor.
John and Lois Hostettler have been a valued part of our church family and the Happy Trails community for the past five years. John brings many years of senior pastor experience, along with a deep love for and understanding of our congregation and community.
John has shared that he sensed the Holy Spirit leading him back into active ministry and specifically toward this opportunity. After spending meaningful time with John and Lois, the Search Committee experienced a clear sense of unity and peace that God is guiding us in this direction during this important season of transition.
The vote on March 8th was completed with 113 voting--113 vote FOR and 0 Against!
