How it all started...

When starting this development, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans were asked to be the spokespersons for the theme of “Happy Trails.”  Roy and Dale agreed to use their names and trademarks with the stipulation that the resort would be a Christian community AND always have a place of worship.  Happy Trails Christian Fellowship was born in 1985, starting with just 7 members.  Before the Grand Opening of the Resort, Dale Evans went and knelt down and prayed over each street.  We know our community is blessed and a very special place because of these humble beginnings.

Is it possible for so many denominations to be in one fellowship?...

A resounding “yes” is the answer!  And it’s worked for over 40 years!
We have found the Savior and the Word of God to be our unity.  By God’s grace we are a Fellowship of believers that accept each other regardless of divergent denominational and traditional backgrounds.  It is God who has forged this unique Fellowship here in the Arizona desert.  We love Christ and each other, and it is the Word of God that is preached rather than denominational distinctives.  We do believe the Word of God is the final authority and recognize there are differing interpretations concerning some passages and take care to respect each other.
